CAVPOWER WORKSHOP TOUR

WHITELINE TRANSPORT’S crew have had a tour of one of the most impressive facilities in South Australia.

The crew headed to Cavpower in Gepps Cross to see a state-of-the-art business operating at the very peak of the industry, as a learning experience for how Whiteline could improve their own internal procedures.

Whiteline’s own workshop has just been completely refurbished (video coming soon) so it stood as an excellent opportunity to compare notes and learn from one of the best.

“Given we have just refurbished our workshop, I wanted the team to see a state of the art facility – Cavpower, Gepps Cross,” said Whiteline’s Sharon Middleton.

“I wanted them to see what is like to have a clean and workable facility, mind you us compared to Cavpower is like one side of the spectrum to another, but it’s about culture, pride, striving for excellence. So I organized through Alan Briscoe of Cavpower for the boys to do a 7 am tour of the facility.

“The equipment and facilities for repairing heavy vehicles and machinery is outstanding. Their commitment to providing a site free of contamination, environmentally friendly practices speaks volumes. It is fair to say going by the commentary from our Workshop Manager Phil Cook and our National Logistics Manager George Cushnie, the crew were gob-smacked. Highly recommend operators running a workshop take the time to contact Alan about a tour – well worth your while.”

Thanks to the team at Cavpower, who graciously allowed us to publish some images George snapped during his tour below.
